Hi everyone! Thank you so much for watching The First Year.

When we screened the film in Lakewood, there was much conversation (during the Q&A and afterwards) about what stories to tell, who should tell them, how to tell them etc.

To me, the point is more essential: NO ONE IS TELLING THEM. I've never seen my world, my yeshivas, my rabbeim (my experiences in and around yeshivishkeit) reflected back at me on screen. The First Year is the first, the beginning, a seed. There will be more.
